ROPE LUBRICATION
During
development work with a major wire rope manufacturer it was agreed that
corrosion was the biggest enemy to the life span of a wire rope therefore,
R.S. Clare's product GRL has a unique anti-corrosion package.
Although black in appearance this is not to be confused with the inclusion
of graphite or molybdenum disulphide rather it is because we have added
carbon black thereby enabling the operator to see the product on rope
thus ensuring an even application.
GRL contains neither solvents or solid thus allowing it to penetrate to
the core of the rope leaving only a thin coating on the outside of the
rope. This thin coating allows the operator to easily check the condition
of the rope visibly.
